Abstract:
As the ultimate goal of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, realization of the new Islamic civilization necessitates the development of the Islamic humanities. However, multiple answers have been offered to the question of how to develop the Islamic humanities by its proponents. Avicenna's approach in flourishing Islamic philosophy has the capacity to serve as a model for this important task. This research attempts to extract the components of Avicenna's approach for the flourishing and development of Islamic philosophy and, by studying the works of Allamah Misbah Yazdi, demonstrates a successful adoption of this approach. Avicenna began his work in philosophy by meticulously examining the nature of philosophical knowledge, or in contemporary terms, the philosophy of philosophy. This groundwork paved the way for a more precise examination of philosophical issues. Through his clear delineation of philosophy and his methodological and technical innovations, he created a leap in the system of Islamic philosophy established by Farabi. In the works of Allamah Misbah Yazdi, which were presented with the aim of producing Islamic humanities, one can observe a similar approach. This means that in the process of producing each branch of the humanities, Allamah first endeavored to provide a clear delineation of that science in terms of its philosophy, thereby laying the groundwork for its production. For instance, in developing Islamic ethics, the philosophy of Islamic ethics has first been meticulously examined, and after presenting a clear picture of the nature of Islamic ethics, the Islamic ethical system has been presented.
