"Action research" or "research in practice" is one of the methods of quality research. In this approach, the researcher along with those who demand for a change or advance come to characterize the problem or issue and collects precise data in order to solve the problem and to change it. They then proceed to take due measures and to assess the outcomes of those measures. In order to review the backgrounds of topics of research and to discover new relations from among many preceding researches, researchers in humanities follow the so-called "meta-analysis" method. "meta-analysis" is said to statistical technics whose aim is to equalize the outcomes of independent researches. Through this method, one is able to combine the outcomes of different researches and to discover novel relation among social phenomena and provide for the precise and scientific applications of the findings.
Accordingly in this paper, the method developed is first to propose the background of "action research" and then the definition and explanation of its position among other methods. They then proceed to study the competence and limitations of such method in comparison to other methods, the process and circles of "action research", its domain and aims through the meta-analysis approach.

Title :نگاهی نو به روش‌شناسی اقدام‌پژوهی به‌مثابه پژوهش کیفی با رویکرد فراتحلیل
Abstract:
«اقدام پژوهی» یا «تحقیق در عمل» یکی از روش های تحقیق کیفی است. در این رویکرد، پژوهشگر یا متقاضی تغییر و تحول، مسئله یا مشکل را شناسایی می نماید و برای حل آن و ایجاد تغییر در آن به طور دقیق اطلاعاتی را جمع آوری می کند. سپس به اقدام مناسب مبادرت می ورزد و از نتایح اقدام ارزیابی به عمل می آورد. پژوهشگران علوم انسانی برای بازنگری پیشینه موضوعات پژوهشی و کشف روابط جدید در میان تعداد زیادی از پژوهش هایی که قبلاً انجام شده، از روشی به نام «فراتحلیل» استفاده می کنند. «فراتحلیل» به فنون آماری اطلاق می شود که هدف آن یکپارچه سازی نتایج پژوهش های مستقل است. با این روش می توان نتایج پژوهش ها را با یکدیگر ترکیب کرد و روابط تازه ای میان پدیده های اجتماعی کشف نمود و کاربست دقیق و علمی یافته ها را فراهم نمود. لذا روش پژوهش در این مقاله ابتدا پیشینه روش «اقدام پژوهی» و سپس تعریف و تبیین جایگاه آن در میان سایر روش های تحقیق را بیان کرده و در ادامه، با مقایسه آن با سایر روش ها، قابلیت ها و محدودیت های این شیوه پژوهشی، فرایند و چرخه اقدام پژوهی و گستره و اهداف آن را از طریق رویکرد فراتحلیل بررسی نموده است.
